Registered Landscapers (“Green Contractors”) in Tarrytown

Landscape companies have to be registered and have paid a fee to operate in the Village of Tarrytown. This ensures that they have been informed as to the regulations the Village enforces, such as the seasonal leaf-blower ban and noise limits. Note that “Green Contractors” is a term for the WORK they do, and does NOT mean they practice environmentally-friendly landscaping. It’s up to the client to determine their landscaper’s practices.

A Tarrytown Landscaper Permit sticker needs to be displayed on their truck. If you see a landscaper that you are unsure about and want to check that they are legitimately registered, visit this list (PDF) on the Village site:
