Open Space Heroes 2026

On Sunday, October 4, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., GILT will be celebrating its 2026 “Open Space Heroes” at the O’Hara Nature Center, 170 Mountain Road, Irvington. Each of GILT’s 2026 Community Grant Awardees will do a short presentation about the work they did with their GILT Community Grant and how that work impacted the community.
We will also be announcing our Community Grant Program for 2027 and give a quick overview of the work that GILT is doing across the Rivertowns to promote and preserve open space.
There will be live music and apples, donuts and cider for all.
