Waste & Recycling

The Tarrytown Environmental Advisory Council works to minimize the amount of material Tarrytown contributes to the waste stream, thereby saving the Village money in disposal fees and decreasing the stress on our waste disposal process.

  • Composting – TEAC encourages composting of household organic waste. Please contact us if you would like advice or links to resources on household composting.
  • Recycling bins – In cooperation with the Village of Tarrytown Department of Public Works, TEAC supports efforts to place recycling bins throughout the village.
  • Waste and Recycling Resources
    • Electronic Recycling – Electronics and small corded appliances can be brought to the village garage for recycling.
Monday thru Friday from 7:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. and on the first Saturday of each month from 9 until noon
